A long-rumored all-electric baby Porsche Panamera could make its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Known as the Porsche Pajun, short for Panamera Junior, French publication L’Automobile Magazine is reporting that the German automaker will bring the 5 Series fighter to Frankfurt this September in concept form. According to the report, the Pajun will be a foot shorter than the existing Panamera and will be an all-electric vehicle with a comparable range to the Tesla Model S (250 to 300 miles). Earlier this year, it was reported that Porsche decided to make the Pajun has a Model S competitor by borrowing technology from the Panamera S E-Hybrid model.

It would be Porsche’s first all-electric offering, and with Tesla’s recent announcement of Ludicrous Mode and a 0-60 mph time of 2.8 seconds, it might be time for the German automaker to jump in on the electric craze. No longer are electric vehicles reserved for economy and zero emissions; Tesla has proved that it could offer plenty of performance and appeal to automotive enthusiasts as well.

The Pajun isn’t expected to enter production for another couple of years, making it a 2018 model year vehicle when it arrives dealerships.
