In anticipation of further disclosure to the media tomorrow at the Paris Motor Show, Opel just four hours ago released a 1-minute video highlighting how exciting the life of its drivers can be.

Featuring imagery associated with young love between an attractive couple, the company intersperses facts and visuals of the rebadged Chevy Bolt rated in excess of 500 km (311 miles) on the European cycle.

This is significantly higher than the 238 miles EV range the U.S. EPA pegs the car with, and both have the same 60-kWh battery in the floor, so you can take that for what it is worth.

Other tidbits include 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.3 seconds, 0-50 km/h (32 mph) in 3.2 seconds, and the more impressive 80-120 km/h (50-75 mph) in 4.5 seconds.

Unfortunately for UK customers, no right hand drive version in the Vauxhall nameplate is being made at this time.

Opel otherwise is spooling up its publicity effort for the green car that’s as scintillating as a night at the dance club with someone extra special.

“Charged with fresh thinking: The Opel Ampera-e is the electric revolution for everyday use,” says the automaker. “Despite being fully packed with the most cutting edge technology and outstanding digital connectivity, the Opel Ampera-e still has plenty of room for five passengers and an impressive amount of flexible cargo space.”

A new dedicated website is up, and expect more details tomorrow.
