Attendees at the SyScan conference next week in Beijing are being offer $10,000 if they can hack Tesla’s Model S security.

Of course Tesla Motors is not officially sanctioning the challenge for security experts, and the organizers have not said much about where the car will come from or the rules.

One goal of trying to crack the code is to test the bar, and if needed, it will be learned that the security needs to be raised.

The organizers gave examples of what a successful code breaker could do, including using the car’s 17-inch touch screen to surf the Web, or driving it around via remote computer control.
