Genesis today revealed a concept envisioning what a hybrid from Hyundai’s upscale brand might look like.

Under the hood is a 2.0-liter direct-injection four-cylinder engine rated for 245 horsepower, 260 pounds-feet of torque.

Info was not given however on the hybrid aspect of the powertrain for the vehicle named for the place it was first shown – the New York Concept.

Genesis says the concept further might be more true to what could be expected from a production luxury performance version.

Inside a curved 21-inch curved 4K digital display supports 3D gesture controls, copper colored accents and an open steering wheel.

The visually evocative machine is also a harbinger of the brand itself which aims at the German and Japanese elites with more to come.
