European Mini to Get BMW's Hybridnomics Tech
More info on the MINI Cooper D diesel with "hybridnomics tech" as they call it:
http://jalopnik.com/cars/trickle_dow...ech-263656.php
This is the kind of car I want to see in the US. A clean diesel engine with a proper manual transmission, and the best of the "hybrid" technology to compliment it. Getting 72mpg what's not to like???

They sure try hard to deny that this is a hybrid although it certainly gets a lot of the benefit of a hybrid. If they made it a real hybrid, it could probably get close to 100 mpg.
