LED lighting, can it provide better MPG?
Any auto / electronics experts out there...
Does replacing all of a vehicle's lamps with LED's (light emitting diodes) provide a measurable effect in raising MPG?
Also, do HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlamps place a greater load on the alternator that standard halogen headlamps, thus lowering MPG?
Thanks for any input

Reading this, I can clearly see that LED lights won't make any noticible difference to the MPG, but will it make any difference to the time running on electric mode in a Hybrid?

Just to add to this, I know a lot of Hybrids and EVs have more in car technology, because the bigger battery helps run this. So surely switching to more efficient lighting will save on battery life?
