Identical issue happened to
Identical issue happened to me this morning. Check Engine and IMA lights came on. 89k 2005 Accord Hybrid. Honda just called me back saying they were going to try a Software update and if that did not fix it we were looking at a new IMA Battery.

We can fix your HAH battery
We can fix your HAH battery for far less than a dealer gets. The internal battery cells are the same as the ones in the 2006+ Civic Hybrid.

"Civic Hybrids are covered
"Civic Hybrids are covered by 8/80,000 warranties except 2003 SULEVs in CARB states which have 10/150,000. CVTs are SULEV MT are ULEV. 2004-2005 are all 8/80,000 everywhere because they changed the ratings of SULEV. This legal definition changing is also why 2000-2004 Insights can get NY CleanPass stickers (single driver in HOV lane), but 2005-2006 can't.
Ron"
Just curious where you got this info and where it is stated? Also what defines a CARB state? Our 2003 is a ULEV but has a CVT tranny. If it was listed as a SULEV we wouldn't have to take it through emissions here but we do becuase of it's ULEV listing. I am curious about the 10/150K since ours has less than 100K now. Thanks.

Carb states ("green" states)
Carb states ("green" states) were: CA, NY, VT, ME, MA, RI, CT
But are now: CA, NY, VT, ME, MA, RI, CT, NJ, OR, WA, ME, PA, NM, FL, CO
> Our 2003 is a ULEV but has a CVT tranny.
Then you have an 80,000 mile warranty no matter what. CVTs that were originally sold in CARB states are SULEV and say so on the window.
