Attractive lease deals are a way of bringing people into the showroom and make it easier for them to adopt new technology they might be apprehensive about.
Nissan’s 2018 Leaf is the latest BEV to hit the market, and the company is already offering a lease deal on it. With $3,979 due at signing, buyers can lease the new Leaf for $229 per month.
That lease is on the base S trim level of the Leaf, which includes Nissan’s e-Pedal system and 151 miles of EPA-certified range. This offer is available nationwide because the car is available nationwide.

For those looking to have fast charging built into their Leaf, or if they’re looking for advanced features like ProPilot Assist, they can upgrade to other models as part of the deal. They list as an example a Leaf SL at $355 per month.
Tesla doesn’t currently offer any leasing deals on the Model 3, and competitive vehicles like the Hyundai Ioniq are only available in limited markets. As of publication, Chevrolet is only offering a finance offer on the Bolt EV.
Production of the Nissan Leaf takes place in Smyrna, Tenn., and the cars should be arriving on dealership lots now.
