Having started Saturday in Stuttgart, Germany, the world’s largest EV rally, WAVE (World Advanced Vehicle Expedition) will run nine days through June 8.
This is the fourth running of the big, long parade comprised of all sorts of electrically powered cars and bikes adding up to a new record, 507 electric vehicles.
This beats last year’s 305 vehicles in Zurich, and the rules divide up the WAVE into manageable segments.
These are, the “Exclusive WAVE” for the more exclusive vehicles, the “Popular WAVE” for the serial models, and the “Light WAVE” for vehicles with less than 900 kg empty weight. There is also the “E-Bike WAVE.”
All told, there are 80 participating teams from around the globe.
