The Hybrid Shop Showcasing Technology At SEMA

In a move to grow its network of dealer partners, The Hybrid Shop (THS) announced it will exhibit its new method of battery pack conditioning for hybrids at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

THS describes itself as a growing international network of dealers committed to providing expert care for hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs).

The SEMA Show is one of the world’s biggest automotive specialty trade event. The 2013 edition will be held November 5 to 8, 2013 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

By offering hybrid owners the option to restore instead of replace the HEV battery pack, in conjunction with a full range of hybrid maintenance and diagnostic services, THS said it is aiming to capitalize on a growing automotive trend. In the United States, there are approximately 3 million hybrids on the road today, with twice that number anticipated by 2015.

THS said this changeover to hybrids is not just occurring in the United States, it’s growing worldwide. In Japan, hybrids have already captured 22 percent of the automobile market.

THS said its patent-pending method of hybrid battery reconditioning is the culmination of years of scientific study and trials conducted by Dr. Mark Quarto, Ph.D., EE, and his team of experts at Automotive Research and Design (AR&D).

Matt and Judy Curry, meanwhile, bring to THS a track record of 30 years in the auto repair industry with 10 profitable service centers in the metro Washington, D.C. area.
