Elon Musk is an Extraordinary Man,

He bought his first computer at age 10 and taught himself how to program and by the age of 12 he sold his first commercial software for about $500. So he was an entrepreneur from young.

He is tackling climate change head on with his electric car company Tesla and he his continuing the financial support of space en devours with Space X.
And he is only 41 years young and he continues to change the world in a positive way.

a new roadster would be a good idea if they understood cost optimization because a small car like that is easy to make inexpensive at the same time as super fast. so you could make a 25k$ roadster that's as quick but uses less than half the energy.
but because tesla motors is poor at cost management they will not be around for another try and even if they were they would fuck it up.

despite a 110k$ price tag on the spartan roadster they lost around 100k$ on each. which is very impressive.

performance electric is very well suited to low cost. they just don't get that.

Tesla should look into the Edison2 VLC platform… Most of the engineering is already done: super efficient low drag shape, low weight design, smaller battery pack, inwheel suspension, etc. Design 11′s done some great restyling work on it since the XPrize. It looks similar to GM’s AUTOnomy prototype. Brand it with that Tesla logo and some “genetic” Model S touches, and you’ve got a great $25 – 30k vehicle that seats 4 and some cargo. Widen the back like an Aptera, and make it into more cargo capable hatchback version.

Only affordable car like Model S sells, the Roadster never sold well. Don’t waste money on supercars. Please concentrate on small vehicles like Prius, C-Max

Yes, a small 4-seater car with 3 ranges.
160 mile range with 30K price tag
230 mile range with 35K price tag
300 mile range with 40K price tag

That would be wonderful. No need for big monitors, just a 7 inch screen will do.
