hello;
I am planning to buy an 2007 altima hybid 60.000 km. Genral warranty on it experis in 6 months. I would like to ask a question. I d really appreciate if you can help me out. can you take your hybrid car to a regular mechanic for non hybrid issues? does an hybrid car has a fuel and hybrid engine as separate units or the engine it has is totally different type lets say like a combined one. the reason that i am asking this is to consider to purchase additional dealer warrant when ibuy a second hand.
Thank you

I just turned 16 and i have been saving for my first car. I am wanting to find a hybrid under $30,000 with a good MPG. What are some good cars for me?
I'm starting to look into buying a new car soon and am seriously considering a hybrid. I am a little concerned about the pricing though. Would anyone mind sharing how much they actually paid vs. the MSRP??
Much appreciated. :-)
Hello,
Is the manufacturer's warranty or the 10 year/150k mile California emission warranty for a hybrid battery valid on pre-owned hybrids?
Does it matter if it's not a certified pre-owned or if i buy the hybrid from a small local dealer or from a private party? Will it still be honored by the manufacturer if it's still within the warranty period?
I'm definitely in the market for a new vehicle. I currently drive a 2004 Kia Rio, manual transmission. I considered a hybrid before purchasing the Kia, but the $14,000 I paid for the Kia vs. the $22,000 for a Prius was simply too much difference!
Again, I'm considering a hybrid. However, I'm also open to another gas only vehicle. I'd like some opinions on which hybrid to purchase. I'm single, but like a hatchback so I can haul hay bales when I need them. No trucks.

We're just beginning our hybrid hunt, so consider us new at this. We were doing a quick look-see at a Ford Fusion and the salesperson said in a grim voice, "Beware that you're going to have to replace the electric batteries every 4 years."
I guess we were supposed to faint and run to the non-hybrid model parked next to it.
Is there an on-line resource of sales myths and tricks we can review to just get past all this, or is this just the truth. Are we going to have to, indeed, replace the "batteries" every four years in all hybrids?
