Honda Accord Hybrid

I own a 2005 HAH. Have loved it to date. Just found out that I need to replace all three engine mounts. I have 85,000 miles on the car. Cost to repair is over $2,000. I'm assuming the steep price has something to do with the Active Engine Mount system. I just replaced the engine mounts on our 1999 Odyssey for much less (and at 140,000). Anyone else running into this issue?

It so great. Thanks a lots.

own a 2005 Accord Hybird. at 40k miles the "MPG indicator" went out. the area no longer has a read-out of any kind. has anyone experienced this? if so, does the entire circuit board need to be replaced or is there a less expensive option? thanks!

People looking for a well built, spacious, well-equipped and fuel-efficient sedan are going to fall in love with this car. The Honda Accord is now bigger but the increased size doesn’t compromise any of its driving characteristics. Honda build great cars and the Accord is no exception, it’s easy to understand why it’s one of the top selling cars in the US today.

I have a 2007 Honda Hybrid Civic. The first couple of years of driving, I had gas mileage that averaged 40-45 mpg. Starting with this last winter, the gas mileage dropped by 8 to 10 mpg. I avoid ethanol additive gas (when I know that it is ethanol). I have also bought higher octane fuel, but still the mileage is much lower now than 2008. Why? Or, what should I do to help?

Toyota has taken a novel approach to take on their rivals Honda in the hybrid saloon market. They have priced the newly launched Toyota Camry Hybrid around $5,000 cheaper than rival Honda Motor’s Accord model.

However, the two cars are not exactly comparable as they come with different engine sizes and standard features. Interestingly, the regular gasoline only versions are huge rivals in their segment.

I have a 2005 HAH with 127K miles. I brought it to the dealer because the Speed Sensor failed and transmission made noises while in 3rd gear.

The speed sensor caused the dash to lighjt up - disabled power steering, traction control, speedo, odometer, and caused the tranny to not shit past 3rd gear.

Repairs are going to be about $4000 for the speed sensor and replace the tranny with a Honda refurb.

Hi - I am working on an article about hybrid owners who fit any one of the following descriptions:

You use your hybrid to drive solo in the HOV lane

You want to do that but your state doesn't allow it

When you purchased your hybrid - you did it with HOV driving in mind

You disapprove of the concept of driving solo in the HOV even with a hybrid

If you are willing to be interviewed - please contact me at hybrids.in.the.hov@gmail.com

--- I'm also looking to make a list of which states allow it and which don't.. so if you have that handy info please post it here--
