Sony's first tablet was launched in the UK and they've announced a huge incentive to go and buy one.

The first 100 customers buying a Sony Tablet S at PC World on Tottenham Court Rd will get a free 32 inch Sony Bravia TV. Amazingly, the TV is worth ￡400 which is the same price as 16GB WiFi only version of Sony's tablet.

Doors will open at 7am and we guess you'll have to camp overnight in order to get one of the 100 free TV's, so you best start getting ready to go down there.

I am working on a college engineering project relating to interfacing RF equipment to new generation public safety vehicles.

Traditionally our equipment draws power from a 12V vehicle battery, we wire directly onto the battery and take a digital input to the killswitch to act as a power on/off with the vehicle ignition.

Does anyone have any documents, references or other information on how you can power professional equipment in hybrid vehicles?

I have a 2007 Nissan Altima hybrid and I always been puzzled by the computer algorithm that runs the ICU when I can see no need for it. One example is that the engine turns on at 40 mph even if I am coasting downhill. Why? There is certainly no need for engine power in that circumstance. Another example is that the engine runs until a certain engine temperature is reached. I guess that the engineers think that the drivers value passenger heat more than fuel economy.
