Ford Escape Hybrid & Mercury Mariner Hybrid

I have a complete set of unopened '05 FEH nav system disk for sale. This set includes the original case and paperwork that was sent to me to replace the original bad disks that came with my '05 FEH. The disk for Florida was not bad in my original set, so I kept the package from NAVTEQ unopened as a backup for future use or to sale when I no longer have my '05 FEH. It's that time now and the set can be purchased for $80. I can even send the original packaging from NAVTEQ with my '05 FEH VIN on my address label.

I have a 2007 Mariner Hybrid & have had no problems other than routine maintenance until recently. Just over 60K miles.

About 2 weeks ago, got "STOP SAFELY NOW" message. Was diagnosed with bad electric engine coolant pump. Paid $317 parts and $300 labor to have replaced. At same time had 60K maintenance performed.

I recently went on vacation and left my ford escape hybrid sitting in my apartment parking lot for the past two and a half weeks. Before that it was running fine, besides an accidental case of leaving on my lights and draining the battery a few weeks before, I have never had a problem with my car starting.

Short summarized version. Son and friends want to drive to Rosebowl to see their team play. Major engine problem in middle of Utah. Towed to nearest city with Ford dealership. Diagnosis: "lower engine rub" causing major banging sound. 3.5 qts of oil mysteriously disappeared (I personally confirmed full dipstick at their departure (3 week old oil change) Can get new shortblock engine installed for $6000. Repair would take 10 days and I live 1500 miles away.

Just looking for any suggestions and/or advice...I own 2 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid models. One work perfectly with an average of 35 mpg. The other...not so much 30 mpg only if I disengage the A/C.

2008 Escape Hybrid when I have econ and A/C engaged, my battery power never kicks in? The only time the vehicle will go into Hybrid mode is when the A/C is not engaged. Anyone have a similar problem?

Maybe this has been answered here before, but if so I could not find it.

I'm enjoying my 2010 Ford Escape at 10,000 miles, no problems so far!

But I have one question maybe someone can answer: My daily commute is about 45 miles each way; starting with about 35 miles high-speed expressway (75 mph) and ending with about 10 mi. city driving.

I am looking at buying a used Ford Escape Hybrid.
I hope someone could advise me as to what things I need to look out for.

The car I am currently looking at is a Ford Escape Hybrid 2008.
AWD, moon roof, leather seats.
one owner
120,000 miles
the dealer is asking $15,000

Is this a good price ?
The miles seem a lot for a 2008, maybe I will need to change the battery pack, how would I know?

Thanks in advance.

My 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid has almost 80,000 miles and the Service Soon light keeps coming on. Some days it will go with not coming on at all and other days it will come on every time I start the car. I have taken to the dealer with the light on and off and they cannot figure out...They tell me the computer says there is nothing wrong...HELP!!!! What should I do?? I do not trust my dealer.... and there is not another one within 20 to 30 minutes of me...

Anyone have an intermittent problem with high temp indicator on a '07 Escape
