That being said, this comparison is disingenuous. The Touareg Hybrid is fully loaded. To get the Cayenne Hybrid comparably equipped (19 inch wheels $1550, panorama sunroof 1070, navigation etc.) would put the Cayenne at about 85k. The one feature the Cayenne offers is air suspension in an $11,650 package. So the Cayenne would be at least 80k…

This is because you don’t need an automatic transmission in an electric car. An electric motor does not work the same way as a gasoline based one and does not stall when you start it in the higher gear. Moreover, a stick shift car is just cheaper to convert and easier too.
