Less footprint than cars that DON'T use recycled materials. Imagine all the plastic that would end up in a landfill if these cars weren't manufactured using recycled materials. Imagine all the extra petroleum-product consumed (and likely dumping the obvious waste gasses into the atmosphere).

Sure, it has its footprint. But it's a very small step in the right direction. Its entirely conceivable that in 20 or 30 years, cars could be manufactured from completely renewable/recycled sources.

Yes, but think of how much bigger that footprint would be if Ford were still using virgin materials and throwing away the excess.

I, for one, applaud Ford's efforts to go green beyond fuel efficiency.
