SsangYong Heads To Geneva With Diesel-Hybrid SUV Concept

SsangYong is the latest company to reveal information about hybrid and green vehicles showcased at the 84th Geneva International Motor Show 2014.

SsangYong announced it will unveil its new diesel-hybrid XLV concept (eXciting smart Lifestyle Vehicle) at this year’s Geneva International Motor Show in March.

The company explained the XLV is a multi-role B-segment SUV concept featuring significantly lower CO2 emissions thanks to its mild hybrid system which combines a 1.6 liter diesel engine with an electric motor powered by a lithium ion battery.

The XLV provides accommodation for seven passengers in a unique 2+2+2+1 arrangement, where the seventh seat slides between the second and third rows for optimum flexibility.

Showcasing SsangYong’s new design philosophy ‘Nature born 3 motion’, the company said this latest concept projects a rhythmical and dynamic exterior design and is aimed at appealing to the smart user who is active and seeks individuality and practicality.

More information on this hybrid-diesel concept will be released in March.
