Renting A Prius Now Possible In Australia With Hertz

It is now possible to book and drive a Prius as a daily rental when visiting Australia.

The Hertz Corporation introduced this week 40 new Toyota Prius Hybrid vehicles into its Green Collection in Australia.

In Australia, all Green Collection cars come with the Hertz Make and Model Guarantee ensuring customers drive away in the exact car they booked.

The 40 Toyota Prii are now available to rent from city and airport locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra. Perth renters will have the chance to hire these fuel-efficient vehicles starting Nov. 1 this year.

“Globally we are constantly looking for initiatives that reduce environmental impacts,” said Michel Taride, group president, Hertz International. “The Green Collection highlights this commitment and features vehicles that reduce CO2 emissions to a practicable minimum.”

The rental company said that introducing the Toyota Prius in Australia is part of Hertz’s dedication to delivering smart mobility and sustainability solutions via its “Living Journey” commitment, which builds on the company’s heritage of innovation and industry leadership. This includes a range of environmentally conscious business practices as well as vehicle rental options that are fuel efficient and use clean, low-emissions technology.

“Sustainable business practices are extremely important to us, and we’re proud to expand the Green Collection in Australia with the Toyota Prius,” said Chris Rusden, regional vice president, Hertz Australia and New Zealand. “The fuel-efficient vehicle is the ideal rental solution for drivers concerned about the environment and high fuel prices, while also looking for style, comfort and uncompromised performance.”

Hertz said customers can rent the new Toyota Prius vehicles by visiting the company’s website. After selecting the Australian pick-up location and booking dates, the currently available Green Collection cars will be displayed.
