No, you do not know how to drive. You have a blind spot because your mirrors are adjusted incorrectly (i.e. pointed down the side of the car). This creates blind spots on any car and is just plain WRONG.

I have a Prius and mirrors adjusted correctly and there is no blind spot. Zero. Nada. Nothing.

Of course I also have an excess of 1,500,000 miles of driving experience over the last 3.5 decades (with nothing even so much as a "close call"), so there is more vehicular experience in one of my toenail clippings than most drivers on the road today have.

I, too, have had several near misses and a few "non misses" with my 2010 Prius. The blindspot
is terrible and the back up camera is not helpful at all. I am seriously considering trading it in
for another hybrid that does not have this problem.

We had a 2004, 2005 and now this 2010 Prius and the others weren't nearly as bad.

I am done with Priuses although I love everything else about them.

Yeah the blind spot is bad on the 2010 Prius. I have not hit anyone. Very nervous. Almost makes me want to quit driving. I'm going to try and get some better mirros or other devices.

I recently found out how dangerous that front blind spot is on my 2005 Prius. I damnnear ran over a mother pushing her baby in a stroller--they were in a crosswalk and I was making a left turn, fortunately from a stop sign and going slowly. I still hit the mother, and didn't see her until she was on my front hood. Thank God I missed the stroller. I never saw them. And couldn't figure out why, I was in no hurry, not much traffic--until I went back the next morning to do the same maneuver, to see what went wrong. Sure enough, the blind spot kept me from seeing part of the crosswalk during my turn, and that part was exactly where someone in motion, crossing the street, would be--keeping herself in the blindspot as I approached.

I have a 2007 Prius and I have had 2 wrecks because of the blind spot. I also had 3 near misses where the other cars honked to let me know they were there. I am selling my Prius before i get killed and I am totally serious. Same issues as others have mentioned and same place (drivers and back seat door).

A week ago, I got in a crash in a Prius and I attribute it to the right front blind spot, combined with right side mirror, a small hill below the mirror, and a pole creating a very extended blind space. The front of the Prius was crushed in to the front windows. Myself and the other car's driver and passenger ended up in a ditch and walked out of the cars, but it could have been fatal.
