Tesla has one store in Pennsylvania, another one being built a hop, skip and a jump away in the state, and it’s now been OK’d to place three more.
This became law in the Keystone state when Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett signed a bill Wednesday that had been overwhelmingly approved by legislators in compromise with Tesla, automakers, and dealers.
Earlier this month, the legislation passed the House with a 197-2 vote.
The deal was seen as acceptable by car dealers and automakers as it removed allowance of an unlimited number of stores in a previosus legislation draft, and capped it at five.
“We believe the process in Pennsylvania is an example of how productive cooperation can lead to a win for all parties involved, dealer and elected officials included,” said Tesla.
