NRG eVgo and Park ‘N Fly have joined forces at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to offer EV owners a suitable parking and charging solution.
Starting this holiday season, EV drivers that valet park at Park ‘N Fly LAX between now and March 31 can receive free electric car charging as part of the new “Park ‘N Charge” program.
Park ‘N Charge is offered by NRG eVgo, a subsidiary of NRG Energy, Inc., and Park ‘N Fly.
Park ‘N Fly customers can simply download a coupon redeemable for complimentary eVgo charging online; coupon download will be available through February 16, 2014 and is redeemable at Park ‘N Fly LAX through March 31, 2014.
“Unveiling these first charging stations in the NRG eVgo Los Angeles-area network with Park ‘N Fly will make it convenient for drivers of plug-in cars to reliably charge their car while traveling in and out of Los Angeles International Airport,” said Terry O’Day, Vice President of Business Development for NRG eVgo in California. “NRG eVgo is proud to bring electric vehicle charging to the Park ‘N Fly LAX location and to offer travelers free electric car charging through the “Park ‘N Charge” program starting this holiday season.”
Park ‘N Fly explained with the “Park ‘N Charge” complimentary charging coupon, customers pay for valet parking, drop their EV off at the Park ‘N Fly LAX valet lot and then take the shuttle to their terminal or walk to Terminal One knowing they will return from their trip to a fully charged car at no additional cost.
Park ‘N Fly @ Park One is located at 6351 West Century Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90045.
“Park ‘N Fly is excited to bring electric vehicle charging services to our Los Angeles location,” explains President & CEO Tony Paalz. “This partnership with eVgo supports our vision to provide convenient full service parking solutions for travelers at the Los Angeles Airport. We look forward to providing this valuable service to our customers.”
NRG eVgo added the Level 2 charging stations at Park ‘N Fly LAX are the first eVgo installations in the Los Angeles area and help support the state’s goal of 1.5 million zero-emission vehicles on California’s roadways by 2025.
eVgo is building electric vehicle charging networks across the Los Angeles Basin, San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego area and San Joaquin Valley.
