BMWs with regenerative braking

I've heard rumors of this before, but here it is again. Check out this link:

I think it's cool that car makers are getting creative in their products. I would be a lot more interested in a system like this than a "full hybrid", especially one mated to a diesel engine and manual transmission (which I'm sure they'll have, at least in Europe).
