2006 Tax Credit

I purchased a 2005 Prius in January and a 2007 in November. Does anyone know if I can claim a credit for both cars in one tax cycle? The full $3,500 for the 2005 and half for the 2007. I would definitely qualify because I don't have any other tax credits. Thanks

My understanding is that you can claim BOTH vehicles in the same year... within the guidelines dictated by the quotas. I, myself, purchased a 2006 Prius in April and a 2007 Highlander last week. My accountant tells me that I can take tax credits in 2006 on both of these vehicles.
