Nissan needs to do something with the styling – I would generously describe it as “misguided.” Other manufacturers have produced much better designs with good aerodynamics without making them look like Jar Jar Binks. (I am a GM employee, but this is not to raise GM by putting down Nissan. Everybody’s cars look better than the Leaf.)

To extend the range, maybe they are just programming the car to use more of the battery before it's considered depleted....
