Nissan has appointed veteran manager Toby Perry to the position of director, Electric Vehicle (EV) Sales and Marketing.
Perry is replacing Erik Gottfried, who Nissan says took a position as director of Customer Quality and Dealer Network Development.
His role took effect Feb. 3 and Perry, who joined Nissan in 1995, was most recently senior manager of Business Strategy Execution.
Along his career track, he has held a number of sales and marketing roles, and his responsibility and value to Nissan in the U.S. and Europe has progressively increased.
“With Toby’s nearly 20 years at Nissan, the breadth of industry knowledge he brings to this role will be invaluable as we aim to increase visibility of LEAF in new markets,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing, Parts & Service, U.S.A. “As the conversation around EVs evolves and Nissan LEAF sales continue to accelerate, we’ll rely on his well-rounded experience to keep the momentum going.”
Perry has a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University in international business and marketing.
