Toyota wants you to mark the date: March 6 is when it will reveal the FT-Bh Concept, a mini hybrid car that saves production expense with lower cost materials and helps save the environment with emissions that are 50-percent lower than other cars in its segment.
Shunning costlier materials like carbon fiber which competitors such as Audi and BMW have added to their mini cars, Toyota says it makes use of economical production methods to make small, cute and green also more affordable.
Just how affordable it will be, we'll have to wait and see, but Toyota has offered pre-reveal teaser pictures and a video of the reportedly innovative vehicle.
Despite its hybrid powertrain, Toyota says the vehicle weighs under 1,800 pounds. According to AutoGuide, efficiency is said to be maximized by low weight, aerodynamic performance, powertrain efficiency, thermal energy management and electricity saving.
Toyota’s unveiling of its FT-Bh will be a couple days prior to the public’s admittance to the 82nd International Motor Show in Geneva which officially runs March 8-18.
