I am sure many have thought of it, but just not been in a position to implement. Patents should not be allowed on “obvious or simple” ideas just because they have not been patented before. This raises the price for all who want to implement and prevents this good idea where companies don’t want to anti-up the royalties for something they may have been planning to do anyway.
