The distances are short, gas is expensive, speeds are low, the climate is ideal for battery range, traffic is heavy, and potential sources for sustainable electric power seem worth considering. Range anxiety? On an island you can drive around in less than two hours at a low average speed?? Great idea, Mitsubishi! Maybe Hawaii could follow through with lower sales taxes and registration fees for electrics.
