Let's not pooh pooh an automaker that finally saw the future of motoring.
Last year, Mercedes sold more S400 hybrid (955 or 7% of all S-class) than BMW 7 hybrid (101 or 0.8% of all 7-series) or Lexus LS600hL (129 or 1%).

At one time, Mercedes considered to turn the next S-class into a hybrid only model and the dealers strongly oppose to that. It's time to move forward, now and tell the dealers which opposed it what you want.
