Do you like your hybrid but wish it had a little more oomph? If so, McLaren is preparing a special version of it’s already limited-production P1 with 1,000 metric horsepower (986 bhp).
The P1 GTR, teased with the image above for now, will be made available for $3,357,000, or about the price of 36 Tesla Model S P85+ sedans.
McLaren’s regular P1 cost around $1 million, all 375 copies were sold out, and for the extra outlay, the GTR gets upgrades including more aggressive styling with more downforce, a widened track, and racing slicks.
Customers will also be invited to a special program to teach them to drive the car more effectively, and access to at least six dedicated international drive events at F1 tracks.
A better view of the new car will be seen at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this month when F1 driver Jenson Button drives the P1 GTR up the famous Goodwood Hill.
