Who needs a seven-figure hybrid? Apparently a fair number of people who’ve spoken for every McLaren P1 to be produced for market in the U.S., Asia Pacific, Middle East, and now Europe.
This news follows the last few orders of unsold cars in Europe this week, and other markets mentioned were already tapped.
It did not take long either, as the sales frenzy kicked off in August at the Pebble Beach concours d’elegance where one P1 auctioned for charity fetched $8.47 million.
The UK company also offers a fair degree of customization from McLaren Special Operations, and three-quarters of P1 customers are going for some level of individual design, and paying upwards of £1 million ($1.6 million).
To date a dozen P1s have actually been produced, however, thus a list remains, and anyone else wanting one is being asked to register their intent in the event that buyers already in queue change their mind.
