Ricardo engineering is working on an E85 optimized car with 40mpg. E85 grown from sweet sorghum or sugarcane is the answer, even according to BP. Now an E85/hybrid makes all the sense in the world. Please Lexus, do it !!! I will be the first in line to purchase this vehicle.

E85/hybrid variant? I think not. E85 nets you lower gas mileage and if ever it becomes widely used will push up prices of agricultural products.

Maybe a hybrid/diesel option would be better. But I still wouldn't mind having this Lexus.

If this vehicle can combine E85 with its hybrid technology, sign me up. http://www.epecholdings.com is about to produce sugar-based ethanol in the US. The biggest fear for big oil is the combo of E85/hybrid power which, btw does not exist YET… Hopefully, the Volt will be the first as was originally promised. Big Oil sucks our economy dry…
