Word just came out that Lexus will be unveiling its new LS flagship sedan in San Francisco at the end of this month.
Lexus confirmed the LS will once again include a hybrid version, to be identified as the LS 600h L, the same name as the current hybrid LS sedan.
More information about the new LS will be available at 8:30 p.m. PDT on Monday, July 30, following a live webcast of the reveal on Lexus.com.
No other details are available. Price, specifications and details will all have to wait for the July 30th reveal. One thing is for sure, the new LS will wear the new Lexus-specific front end grille found on the recently redesigned GS and ES sedans. The only glimpse available is the picture used at the head of this article, found on the Lexus Web site.
The current LS 600h L carries an MSRP of $112,750, has a total system horsepower of 438 horsepower and is rated 19 mpg city, 23 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined. It has never been a huge seller, in part due to its price and its average fuel economy. Lexus sold six units in June 2012 and 39 units in the first half of 2012, as seen in our June dashboard.
We will keep you posted as soon as we have more info.
