While not making as massive of jumps as it did in 2012-2013 year-over-year monthly sales, Nissan nonetheless reported its “best June ever” with 2,347 units sold, a 5.5-percent gain over June 2013.
This is the 16th straight month of increases for the Leaf, and through June, its sales have risen 29.4 percent over 2013.
“Since the Texas state incentive went into effect in May, we’ve seen a big jump in LEAF sales in the Austin, Dallas and Houston markets,” said Toby Perry, Nissan’s director of EV Sales and Marketing. “Our dealers are telling us that they saw more traffic in their stores, and they had their best LEAF sales performance in the last weekend in June.”
Once again, Atlanta tops the list of hot markets for Nissan.
San Francisco was in second place, Seattle moved up to third, Los Angeles was fourth, and San Diego rounds out the top five, jumping up from number nine.
