Being in the car business for years and having experienced the changing face of luxury auto industry its high time that we look towards the future. With today's technological advancement has made it possible to build eco friendly luxury vehicles. We will see more and more such models rolling out of almost all OEMs. Its a welcome change.

The problem is not a 600 HP hybrid, it's what part of the drivetrain provides the excessive HP.
Honda's HAH tried to get the excessive HP with the ICE while trying to use a wimpy electric drivetrain to curb the poor fuel economy of the big ICE. This gave it V6 performance at V6 prices and 4cyl fuel economy.
If the HAH had had a 75 hp ICE and a 300 hp electric drivetrain, it could had V12 performance, V6 prices (caused by the extra battery), but much-better than 4 cyl fuel economy. That might actually have sold and would have definitely been a lot more reliable than the Rube-Goldberg contraption they made.

That Infiniti Essence is beautiful in a carbon-copy-of-the-Fisker-Karma kind of a way. Great to see Nissan taking EV’s and Hybrids seriously, would be nice to see it long before 2020 though.

All hybrids by 2020? Sounds awfully optimistic for a company that claims hybrids aren't the way to go.

A 600 horsepower hybrid? Sounds fun! And about as useful as a bag of poo with handles on the inside.

I thought Honda proved with their Accord that hybrids and horsepower don't mix well?
