Honda Fit

Within, you can expect to find Honda fit and finish. With respect to materials, the cabin is right on par with the rest of the Honda line. And its stylish design is a good match to the exterior of the car.

Front seats are firm and comfortable, but there are some issues with respect to visibility. Slightly elevated seats would have served the driver a little better.

Though the Fit’s outer shell takes up very little pavement, it curiously yields an unusually large interior space. Total passenger volume is 90.1 cubic feet, which is just a hair short of the larger Honda Civic. It offers more head and legroom up front than the Versa and Yaris.

The Fit’s functionality is elevated by its second row “Magic Seat” which allows the seatbacks to fold down or the seat bottoms to flip up. This provides five distinct seating and cargo configurations. There’s 21.3 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and a voluminous 41.9 cubic feet with the seats down. Meaning there’s plenty of room for all kinds of gear.

Standard features include air conditioning, a four-speaker stereo with CD, and power windows and mirrors. The Fit Sport enhances the interior with paddle shifters, cruise control, and a 200-watt six-speaker audio system with MP3 capability.

As in all Honda vehicles, the “Safety for All” program brings with it six standard airbags: front, side, and head-curtain. The Fit has a five-star rating in frontal crash testing from the NHTSA.
