California’s legislature imposes a fine on automakers that fail their test for the “Zero Emission” mandate. With US power plant fuel being 45% coal, 23% natural gas, and 20% nuclear, how much cleaner will our enviroment be by charging electric vehicle’s batteries from these power plants? My view is that the market should determine which innovation should succeed- not government.

What really is sad is that Honda is forced to comply with a government mandate that forces them to build a vehicle that satisfies what goverrnment considers, in it’s less than great wisdom, a practical idea. Government stifles real innovation.

It's really sad to see how far behind Honda is with EV's and Plug-in hybrids. A few years back they were against them, now they fall behind as the other auto makers are releasing actual EV cars...
