“We truly value the trust that our customers put in us when they buy a Civic,” said Dave Gardner, vice president of sales and marketing, Honda Canada Inc. “Nearly every Civic sold in Canada is built for Canadians, by Canadians, right here in our Ontario manufacturing facility. Sixteen years is an accomplishment that the entire Honda family can be very proud of; from our 4,200 associates in Alliston, to our regional and national staff and 230 dealers across the country.”
Honda Canada said since 1973, more than 3.9 million Honda Civics have been manufactured by Canadians at Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario and more than 1.7 million Civics have been parked in driveways across the country over the years, with approximately one million still on the road today.
Honda Canada hopes this best seller status will remain true for 2014, With this in mind, the new 2014 Civic features improvements including according to Honda Canada increased technology, better fuel efficiency, an improved driving experience and a restyled coupe exterior.
