Green Motion, a company specializing in low CO2 vehicle rentals, confirmed yesterday the sale of its first franchise in the United States of America for Florida.
An independent rental company, Total Auto Rent, has acquired Green Motion’s Master State Franchise for Florida and will commence operations at both Miami international airport and downtown South Beach Miami on Sept. 1 this year.
“We are absolutely delighted that we have been able to reach agreement to open Green Motion’s first franchise in the United States,” said Green Motion International’s founder and chairman, Richard Lowden. “Total Auto Rent under the owner of Patricio Franulic already has an excellent reputation and I am in no doubt whatsoever that the development of the Green Motion brand here in the USA is in safe hands. “
Following the opening of Miami airport and down town locations, Green Motion Florida will then proactively seek to develop the rest of the State through sub-franchising. This development will include both airport and further downtown operations.
“For several years, we have been looking at the expansion of our already successful car hire business when we discovered the Green Motion franchise opportunity – we felt that their unique positioning of the brand with the provision of ecologically friendly vehicles, coupled with their expertise within the global rental industry made them the right partners for our company,” said the owner of Green Motion Florida, Patricio Franulic.
