Now I know that Li-ion batteries are lighter, more powerful and recharge faster, but what about metal hydride batteries. they have proven themselves in the Prius and Civic hybrid. So why not make an EV with NMH batteries. Also everyone focuses on hydrogen fuel cells, what about gasoline fuel cells. They have been in commericial vehicles for years and have a 50% efficientcy compared to 20% in an engine. I sense easy competion for hydrogen. And what ever happened to more advanced engines, like the quasiturbine. I have link on the bottom it is ridculously promising.http://auto.howstuffworks.com/quasiturbine.htm
