Has anyone assessed the emissions produced by production of the vehicle? Proticularly the nickel cadmium battey. Hybrids are nothing but a sales ploy produced by the auto manufacturer to make themselves appear green in order to sell more cars. Research the vehicles production and you will find environmentalists harm the environment more by pushing manufacturers overseas than anything.
