Where Do You Go For Service?
Created September 14, 2009, at 10:42 pm by jaybekay
Hi, all.
Where do you take your Prius for service, the dealer or a neighborhood shop? I ask because I just plopped down $300 at the dealer for the 15,000 mile service. I've always gone to the dealer so far because I've assumed they know the Prius best, but I have to admit $300 for service is annoying. Any opinions? Thanks!

I go to my neighborhood shop. BUT... the Prius and other hybrids have special systems and need special tools and training. My neighborhood shop took the time and effort to equip themselves for Priii and other hybrids.
Make sure your shop has the tools and training to deal with Prius systems.
I go to the dealer. But I've only got 8k on the Odo so far.
