What advice can you give?

I'm picking up my new Prius this weekend. Does anyone have any advice? Do I drive differently? Anything I should know about?
Thanx!

Drive moderately. Stay closer to the speed limits than you used to.

If you do those things, you should get very good mileage (45-50 mpg).

If you want to go to extreme measures to get 60 mpg or over, read some of the more 'advanced' tips here, or at greenhybrid, or the edmunds hybrid forum. Those tips are not for everybody (myself included), but rather for those who really want to squeeze the last bits of mileage out of their cars.

Finally, I'd say this: relax and enjoy the car. You have already done something good in buying an advanced technology car that seeks to help alleviate our dependence on oil. You will continue to do something good by driving a less polluting vehicle. And you will do even more by using less gas. Plus it's a cool car with the highest owner satisfaction in its class. You'll love it.
