VA extends HOV waiver but...

VA is going to extend the HOV waiver into June 2007 but you must have purchased your Hybrid before June 2006. Those hybrids purchased after that will not be given the special plates and will not be allowed in HOV lanes.

I think that still has one hurdle to go before it passes, but we're close. There are versions of the bill (in the Senate and House of Delegates), and support from Tim Kaine, so it may happen.

Anybody know what would happen if a current hybrid owner relaces their car? Can I keep my plates?
