Toyota and Honda Hybrids, built in USA
Created May 19, 2006, at 6:17 pm by Anonymous
Just a thought.
I live in Ohio, and I know that Honda wants to build another factory here (to output like 150k-250 cars). If Honda does, Ohio would step above Michigan as the #1 auto producing state in the U.S.A.
But a thought arose to me. Since the non-hybrid Honda Civics are built right here in Marysville, OH, is there any intention for Honda to build the Hybrid Civic here, or even, Toyota build the Prius in one of their American plants?

Yes. In 4th quarter 2006, Honda Civic Hybrids will begin assembly out of Kentucky.
Hybrid Camrys will also be made from one of their current plants at 4000 per month.
