SPECIFIC ENGINE AND IMA 2010 INSIGHT

1. I own a 2006 HCH II. From what I have read, it appears that the new 2010 Insight has the same ICE and IMA as the second generation HCH II.

2. Does anybody out there know the ground truth on this question?

That does appear to be the case. Of course, the battery pack is a little smaller (as is the price). But the hybrid system does bear a strong resemblance to the HCH-II.

I still wonder what will become of the Insight-II if a Fit hybrid comes to the USA. I like the looks of the Insight-II, but I like the Fit even more. A Fit hybrid would basically be the perfect B-size car.
