    Electric Motors Question

Are the electric motors in hybrids AC or DC or a combination of both? I am doing a school paper and need to know which kind they are. Thanks

    Electric Motors

The electric motors(also)SERVO's..are DC..with varying types..36volts is the most powerful I have seen..and Briggs/Stratton has a 4(.)something HP/electric motor thats about $$600.00/Powerboats use some high power Electric motors..then Bikes/Scooters..and some Cars are Fully Electric(about)$$14,000.00 for a CHEAPO..I found a PORSCHE Targa online for $$65,000.00(fully)Electric..
    ..
Production Machinery will use what is a SERVO..some can complete the X + Y Axis to the .0001 inch dimension..holding close Tolerences..CNC adds even a third [Z] Axis which I think is the Machining Center..
    ..
I'm brand new in this Forum so the HYBRIDS are a mystery for me..
I looking for Power Supply info..mainly Cost vs. Long Range Power..
    ..
So....SLA....Ni-Cd....Ni-MH....Li-Ion.....is my basis for searching out some features.
