    Are there any Hybrids that are FFV and can run on E85? I haven't been able to find anything that mentions that.

    To clarify Mark's question:

    FFV = Flexible Fuel Vehicle = a vehicle that runs on more than one fuel, for instance gasoline and diesel, or propane and gasoline. (And no, Tom Bodette, a car that runs on gasoline and burns oil does not qualify as a hybrid.)

    E85 = a motor fuel that is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. See http://www.agriculture.state.ia.us/e85q&a.html.

    And no, Mark - I haven't noticed one either.

    Too bad. This would be a good combination. E85 around here runs about $1.00/gal cheaper than regular gasoline. It would be nice to one that does both.

    I don't know if there are hybrid cars available in E85 FFV version, but I've read about a Prius with LPG engine¡

    There's a good article on ethanol / FFV at http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortu...02/06/8367959/
