CA DMV Clean Air Stickers SUCK!

Application was sent on Jan 26.
Check was cashed on Feb 10.
As of today, haven't received the sticker yet.
Called DMV, they refused to look up the status until 6 to 8 weeks after the check is cashed.
    Very disappointed.......
Wonder if I am the only one having this long wait....

    You're not alone. Here's mine:

    1/24: application over-nighted
    2/6: check cleared
    2/16: stickers received

Since your check was cleared 4 business days after mine, if you're like me, stickers should be in your mail box tomorrow.

Instead of paying the $5k over MSRP for the HCH Drive the 28 miles from San Jose to Gilroy. I got my 06 HCH for msrp. I waited two months but I feel it was worth it. By the way I love the car. I don't work for Honda but this is my fourth Honda so I am slightly biased.

yes - I completley agree, why are the stickers so ugly??? Such a shame they couldn't just make a small hologram style decal. Especially since when citations are issued for being in the carpool lane without passengers our without a hybrid they are issued by officers who can easily distinguish a hybrid vehicle from a standard vehicle.

You don't have to pay over sticker if you are willing to wait. I have been trying to buy a HCH for two months. I got a call from a local dealership that one had arrived, went down that day and bought it. It's about finding a dealership with people you can trust (I know that sounds odd, but it cam be done).

    Good luck.

Finally, I got my stickers today (Feb.24,2006)
    Mailed DMV application on Jan.31,2006
    Checked encashed on Feb. 16,2006
    Received stickers Feb. 24,2006
Sticker number 49,868. approximately 130 stickers left if DMV will issue up to 50,000. Good luck to those who mail their application after Feb.1,2006
It seems like DMV is issuing an average of 200 stickers per day, so its up to you to do the math.

I'm so excited, at last I will be able to use the carpool lane on monday when I go to work...
